End Well Annual Conference at the Skirball Cultural Center, Los Angeles
This November, we’ll explore a deceptively simple question: When does now begin? It already has. Join us November 12, 2026 in Los Angeles for the End Well Summit. The future isn’t waiting for us to catch up. It’s unfolding in this breath, this moment, this conversation we almost didn’t have. Right now, someone is receiving a diagnosis. A family is navigating a decision that will shape what care looks like. A policy is quietly becoming a default. The moments that matter most rarely announce themselves.Through mainstage talks and immersive workshops, we’ll examine how we’re navigating caregiving, grief, loss, and dying today—and what becomes possible when we stop postponing the conversations that matter most.Come to be challenged, surprised, and better equipped for serious illness, caregiving, grief, and the questions mortality raises about how we live now.

Near-death experiences can put everything into perspective. In this course, we will explore how the rituals and liturgy of Yom Kippur challenge us to face our mortality as an impetus for spiritual growth. In doing so, we will engage with how wisdom of our tradition inspires us to face our own deaths as a means of informing how we want to live this new year. Through text study and reflection, we will spiritually prepare for this transformative High Holiday work.

What is palliative care, and how does it differ from hospice? How might understanding it change the way we approach end-of-life decisions — and where does Jewish wisdom fit in?
Join us as we build the knowledge and confidence to face end-of-life planning with greater clarity and less fear. Shomer Collective's Rabbi Melanie Levav will be in conversation with Dr. Michael Pottash, Professor of Clinical Medicine at Georgetown University School of Medicine, whose teaching and research bridges serious illness, end-of-life communication, and medical ethics.
Let's Talk is Shomer Collective's ongoing conversation series, where Rabbi Melanie Levav brings Jewish wisdom into honest dialogue with experts, practitioners, and lived-experience voices on death, dying, and the questions that matter most.
