Community Chevra Kadisha Los Angeles provides education and hosts conversations for Jewish community groups, schools, congregations, and private organizations.
Since 2022 we have facilitated and hosted events in private and communal settings, and virtually on Zoom.

CCKLA Info Sessions
CCKLA hosts virtual and in-person info sessions. Our info session provides an opportunity to learn more about the ancient rituals of Tahara and Shmira and the value they hold for us today. Sessions cover CCKLA's services, volunteer opportunities, and ways to support our work.
Death Over Dinner & Death Over Brunch, Jewish Edition.
A friendly, communal guided conversation about end-of-life and mourning, and the guidance within Jewish traditional practices.
Tahara Training
A training designed to teach our Tahara volunteers the history, liturgy, communal emotional aspects, and practical steps of Tahara.
Zayin Adar Celebration
A yearly celebration to acknowledge our volunteers. Traditionally, there is one day a year when the Chevra does not work and comes together for a communal learning and celebration.

National Involvement
CCKLA volunteers are educators, board members, and facilitators in several national organizations which educate on Jewish End-of-life practices.
